







Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min conducted regional development activities. First, in Thandwe Township, the Chief Minister inspected the Thandwe Marine Product Cold Storage & Processing Plant and heard reports on operation plan, electricity consumption, export process and expansion of soft shell crab farming.
It’s learnt that the factory hiring about 850 workers produces 5 to 10 tons of fish, prawn and soft shell crab per day. The Chief Minister continued his inspection trip to the Shwewadi Rakhine traditional longyi and bamboo tablecloth enterprise and heard report on production process, sale to hotels, regions and states and plans to expand the business.
The Chief Minister coordinated with relevant departments to expand production to attract tourists through the production of modern and innovative designs. Also, in AukNanChaung Village, he inspected completion of the construction of a 100 feet long and 9 feet wide wooden bridge.
In the village, the Chief Minister met with locals and urged them to maintain the bridge. He also visited the rubber farming under the Ministry of Industry and held talks with concerned officials for hand-over process of the farm to the Rakhine State Government.
Also, the Chief Minister inspected the site where a vocational training school will be built and donated by the Golden Myanmar Property Development Company.
