







Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw attended the opening ceremony of MSME products exhibitions and trade fairs held at the People’s sports ground in Monywa Township in the morning on 17th November.
First, the Chief Minister, region ministers for economic affairs and social affairs, regional level departmental officials and chairman of Monywa district administration council opened the event by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.Next, the chief minister provided half million Kyats to the school band from No (2) Basic Education High School and posed for documentary group photo together with the officials concerned in front of the entrance gate.
Then, the chief minister and officials viewed the product exhibitions booths, encouraged and cordially greeted the people who come to the fair.Afterward, the chief minister and officials attended the workplace safety workshop jointly organized by the region youth affairs committee and the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection held at the indoor stadium in the public sports ground.
At the workshop, the chief minister said that the MSME plays the vital role for the economic development of the country, the region government is providing necessaries such as to acquire loan, raw materials and electricity. The development of MSME sector is needed as it can create the job opportunity for the people.
The Sagaing region produces the rice, cooking oil, beans pulses, foodstuffs, clothes, personal and household use goods. So, to implement One Region One Product scheme, the region government will provide assistance with the collaboration of relevant departments.
Then, the region minister for economic affairs Daw Yi Yi Than clarified the matters related to organize the MSME products exhibition and trade fairs and the participants in the event were cordially greeted. The MSME products exhibition and trade fairs will be organized for three days from 17th to 19th November from 8 AM to 5 PM with over 40 display booths and the products manufactured from the four industrial zones on the regions will be sold, it’s reported.
