Refresher Training on ECI: MoSWRR UM delivered the opening remarks

The opening ceremony of the Refresher Training (Second Batch) on Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) was held at the assembly hall of the Office of the Union Minister for the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

Union Minister Dr. Soe Win attended and delivered the opening address. The Union Minister stated that the Myanmar Early Childhood Care and Development Policy, Strategic Plan, and related laws and by-laws have been drafted and enacted with the aim of ensuring all children in Myanmar achieve age-appropriate developmental milestones.

He mentioned that based on findings such as significant developmental delays and disabilities in newborns and children under five, continuous efforts have been made, from ensuring access to relevant technologies to producing experts to provide Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services for assessing developmental status and rehabilitation.

He urged trainees from Regions and States to diligently study the subjects taught in the training and practically reapply them in their workplaces, which would bring benefits for children, families, and the State.

Following this, the trainees introduced themselves, and the opening ceremony concluded at 11:00 AM. It is reported that this training, held from September 29 to October 3, 2025, was attended by 45 trainees from 12 Regions and States.
