Recreation Facility: “We Love Nattalin” Park Established In Bago Region

A public recreation park under the name of “We love Nattalin” was built in Nattalin Township in Bago Region with the guidance of the Regional Government.

The park is located between railway and express way on Yagon-Pyay Road.

It was built with the allotted budgets of Bago Regional Government’s Development funds in 2020-2021 fiscal year and the public donations.

Townselder, Nattalin Township, Bago Region, Than Htike said “We hope that it’s better to have recreational area in Nattalin. There’s no featured, grand trademark place in our town. So, the young people wish our town to be developed like others. We search for development funds with the help of the locals and other social organizations. We have completed the construction of this recreation park with the locals’ donated funds of70 million kyats and 35 million kyats of Regional Development funds.”

Plans are underway to build a playground for children and also a stone wall and teak wall. Moreover, decorations will also be made in the park using teak woods.

Kyaw Linn, Sein NyotMyaing Natural Environment Conservation Group said “I will keep on nurturing the flowerbed, planting more flowers and carry out for proper drainage system. We will also plant the shady trees in thispark. We have about 100 plants in this area, and will continue to cultivate more plants. Nowadays, we have less coverage of trees and forests, it has impacts on natural environment, causing climate change and violent storms. It will be better if we plant more trees. The Government must pay more attention on conservation of natural environment.”

Locals hope to contribute for environmental conservation works while striving for long term maintenance of this new recreation facility.
