



Vice President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Nyo Saw, who is currently in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, to attend the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026), separately received and held meetings on June 3rd at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg with Mr. Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee, and a delegation led by Mr. Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov, Director of the Fund RC-Investments of the Roscongress Foundation.
During the meeting with the Adviser to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee, discussions focused on the current state of cooperation between Myanmar and Russia, as well as ways to further expand collaboration across a wide range of sectors, including trade and investment.
During the meeting with the Director of Fund RC-Investments, the two sides exchanged views in an open and cordial manner regarding the progress of ongoing cooperative projects between relevant Myanmar ministries and organizations and the Roscongress Investment Fund in the agriculture, mining, trade, and electricity sectors. They also discussed future prospects for expanding and strengthening cooperation in these areas.
Also attending the meetings alongside the Vice President were Union Ministers and a Deputy Minister accompanying the delegation, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Myo Moe Aung, the Consul General of Myanmar in St. Petersburg, and other relevant officials. Officials accompanying the Adviser to the President of Russia and the Executive Secretary of the Forum Organizing Committee, as well as the Director of the Roscongress Fund RC-Investments, were also present at the meetings, it’s reported.
