Receiving Ovadakatha: Union Minister And Officials Received Ovada From Sayadaws

The 17th edition of ceremony seeking guidelines from the Ovadacariya Sayadaws of Uppatasanti Pagoda was held at the communal hall on the pagoda platform in the evening on 15th March.

The Ovadacariya Sayadaws of Uppatasanti Pagoda led by the Chairman Sayadaw of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Bamaw Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Kumarabhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr. Maung Maung Naing, deputy ministers U Aye Tun and U Tun Ohn, Nay Pyi Taw deputy mayor, deputy commander of Nay Pyi Taw command, members of Nay Pyi Taw council and officials.

First, the congregation observed five precepts from Bamaw Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Kumarabhivamsa and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Next, the union minister U Ko Ko and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr. Maung Maung Naing reported the religious matters.

Then, the Bamaw Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Kumarabhivamsa gave the religious guidelines and suggestions.

Next, the union minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and senior officials offered the offertories to the members of Sangha.

Later, the Thanlyin Minkyaung Sayadaw Baddanta Candimabhivamsa delivered a sermon, followed by sharing merits gained.
