Rakhine Traditional Wrestling: Competitions held to mark Rakhine State Day

Rakhine traditional wrestling competition has been held for three days from 13th to 15th December to commemorate the 47th anniversary Rakhine State Day.

The final match of the competition took place in the evening of December 15th with the attendance of members of the State Administration Council, Union Ministers, Chief Minister and officials. The winners at the respective levels were awarded with cash prize and medals.

Cash prizes ranged from 2.4 million, 1.6 million and 600,000 kyats for first, second and third winners of Silver Gong Level and 3.2 million, 2.4 million and 800,000 kyats for those of Golden Gong Level.
