Rakhine State Transport Situation: Train Reoperation Between PyiTawTar & YayChanPyin

Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min and many other officials on Thursday attended a ceremony at PyiTawTar Station Yard for reoperation of the Rail Bus Engine [RBE] trains on the PyiTawTar [Sittway] and YayChanPyin route. There, the Chief Minister and officials gave speeches and the train reoperation ceremony continued as planned to hail the 77th Armed Forces Day.

They also met with passengers and gave gifts. The train operation on the PyiTawTar [Sittway] and YayChanPyin route had been suspended since the 10th of April 2020 amid the COVID-19 outbreak. Now, normal operation has begun and there are 4 runs and 6 stops on the route.
