Rain-storms continue wreaking havoc in vast stretches of China

Heavy downpours continued to hit large areas across China, causing flooding, mudslides and evacuation of people.

Days of heavy rainfalls have triggered major landslides and floods in most areas of the southwest China city, starting from Monday. A total of 1,124 students and faculty members were evacuated to safety by Tuesday morning. The landslide caused no casualties.
