Racers put Paris public bike share fleet to the test

Sixty cyclists competed in the first ever race restricted to vehicles from the fleet of the French capital's public bike share known as Velib'.

Vélib' is a large public bicycle-sharing system in Paris, launched in 2007 and widely used across the city. The race took place on Saturday. It was the first-ever race restricted to Vélib’ bikes. Around 60 cyclists competed using only bikes from the Vélib’ fleet. The event was held in Parc Floral, Paris as part of a cycling exhibition.
