Quality Rice Seeds and Fertilizer: Chin State Gov. provided quality rice seeds and fertilizer

“Although agricultural work was previously carried out in the traditional customary way, it is now necessary to implement it in line with advancing technologies.

Government departments will provide technological support, and business owners and farmers need to work in accordance with these technologies,” said Chin State Chief Minister Dr. Wong Sun Htan on May 18 at a ceremony held in the General Administration Department meeting hall of the Chin State Government Office in Hakha.

The event, organized under the supervision of the Chin State Government, included the distribution of high-quality certified rice seeds and organic fertilizers by the State Agriculture Department, as well as an awareness seminar on the development of agro-based industries.

At the ceremony, the Director of the Chin State Agriculture Department explained the objectives of distributing the high-quality certified rice seeds and organic fertilizers.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and the State Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation distributed the high-quality rice seeds and Sanwadi organic fertilizer.

The awareness seminar then continued, with officials from the Agriculture Department, Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics, Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, Agricultural Mechanization Department, Rural Development Department, Industrial Supervision and Inspection Department, and Cooperative Department giving educational talks related to their respective sectors.

Farmers and business owners also raised questions and discussed points they wished to present regarding the discussions. The Chief Minister, state ministers, and responsible state-level departmental officials responded to these questions. The Chief Minister then delivered closing remarks and later inspected the displays of high-quality certified seeds, natural pesticides, and foliar fertilizers exhibited by the Agriculture Department, it’s reported.
