Qatar FM visits Tripoli and meets Libyan officials

Libya has invited Qatar to reopen its embassy in Tripoli, as the Libyan interim government pushes to renew its ties with the outside world after ten years of turmoil and civil war. During a joint news conference in Tripoli, al-Manqoush praised Qatar for its role in helping to end the conflict in Libya, which had seen the country split between two rival governments, each with its own armed forces. For his part, the Qatari minister said his country looked forward to reciprocal visits with the aim of increasing cooperation between the two countries.
