Putin talks to news agencies on Japan and N.Korea

Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in a virtual meeting on Friday with the heads of international news agencies as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. In response to a question from Japan's Kyodo News, Putin said that Russia was interested in a peace treaty with Japan, amid a dispute of the territorial rights of four of the southernmost Kuril islands which the Soviet Union took during the final days of World War II. And also Answering a question from South Korea's Yonhap News, Putin said that the North Korean nuclear program is in the centre of the world's attention and that Russia is against the expansion of weapons of mass destruction.
