Putin: Russian servicemen should be treated as heroes

All Russian servicemen who participate in the special military operation in Ukraine should be treated as heroes regardless of their awards, Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the State Council Board on Wednesday.He stressed payments to the military personnel in Ukraine need to be increased with wounded soldiers and families of those who died should receive social support quickly. On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited a military hospital in Moscow and met with some of the soldiers wounded in the course of the military operation in Ukraine.
