Putin meets with President of the New Development Bank of BRICS

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Dilma Rousseff, President of the BRICS New Development Bank on Wednesday. The meeting took place at the Kremlin in Moscow, with talks centering on expanding financial cooperation and infrastructure investment across the Global South.

Discussions focused on developing a multipolar financial base and reducing reliance on traditional Western payment systems. Moreover, both sides emphasized the importance of conducting settlements in the national currencies of BRICS member countries to protect against exchange rate volatility.
