Public Gatherings: Up to 200 people allowed for religious and social events

Up to 200 people will be allowed to gather for religious ceremonies and social events starting from 1st January 2022, according to an order, issued by the Ministry of Health on December 30th.

The Ministry issued the order by exercising its authority under Section 21 (b) of the Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases Law.

It also stated that those who fail to comply with the orders and instructions issued by the Ministry of Health and the Department of Public Health regarding the COVID-19 disease will be taken action under the existing law.
