Public Financial Management Course: MOFR UM delivers an opening address

The opening ceremony of the Public Financial Management Basic Course No. (13), was held Thursday morning at the Public Financial Management Academy of the Ministry of Finance and Revenue.

Union Minister Dr. Kan Zaw attended and delivered the opening address.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister stated that the Public Finance Management Academy (PFM Academy) was established in accordance with the school's motto, "Stronger PFM for Better Future." He emphasized that a country's development across political, economic, and social spheres heavily relies on robust public financial management. Therefore, it is essential to have an effective public financial management system and to produce highly capable civil servants.

He urged the trainees to efficiently apply what they learn from this course in their respective workplaces and to share that knowledge with their colleagues, thereby delivering public services with competence, accountability, and responsibility. 41 officers from 23 ministries and organizations will attend this course, which will last for a duration of three months.
