

Training on Psychosocial Support for Social Service Providers jointly organized by the Department of Rehabilitation and International Organization for Migration was launched in Nay Pyi Taw, Monday.
Assistant Director, Department of Rehabilitation, Khine Su Lwin said “Our Department is mainly undertaking for caring and protecting of trafficking in persons. This training is aimed for the service providers, officials from Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs and Anti-human Trafficking Police Force who are helping effectively the psychosocial support for the trafficked persons.”
According to the official of Department of Rehabilitation, women, men and children are now being trafficked in the various forms of exploitation. Due to this manner, they are suffered from the mental traumas. This training aims to reduce the psychological traumas of the trafficked persons.
Assistant Director, Department of Rehabilitation, Khine Su Lwin said “We hope…service providers can do effectively caring of the trafficked persons in the best way by making contacts each other and can help effectively rehabilitation tasks for them.”
30 trainees from the Department of Rehabilitation, the Social Welfare Department, the Anti-human Trafficking Police Force and the Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations are attending 5-day training from 1st to 5th July.
