Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, along with members of region government, visited the Pyay General Hospital in Pyay on December 22 to observe and encourage the monthly health care services being provided to retired civil servants. This initiative, led by the Bago Region Government, marked its 37th month of implementation.

First, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win toured the 500-bed Pyay General Hospital. He observed health workers conducting examinations and providing treatment to retired civil servants who had come to receive health care. He also noted the collaborative assistance from relevant departments, Township elders, social organizations, and philanthropic associations.

The Chief Minister warmly greeted and offered words of encouragement to the retired civil servants receiving care. He oversaw arrangements to ensure continuous monthly health care services for retired civil servants and that there was no shortage of necessary medicines.

It has been reported that to enable civil servants who have served in various departmental sectors across Bago Region to live long, healthy, and happy lives after retirement, the Bago Region Government has organized monthly health check-ups at people’s hospitals in all 28 townships within the region.

The services include providing one month's free medicine per patient, administering vaccines, and offering monthly health care for retired civil servants. To commemorate the 37th instance of this monthly health care service, one viss of cooking oil per person and separate cash assistance were presented to those who came for health care and to the health workers. The Chief Minister also inspected the kidney dialysis department, ensuring that necessary provisions and actions were taken.
