Providing Healthcare and Foodstuff: Sagaing Region CM attended the ceremony of providing

Sagaing Region Government held a ceremony to provide health check-ups and distribute basic food supplies to retired civil servants within the Region at the Chindwin Hall in Monywa, Sagaing Region on September 22. The ceremony was attended by the Region Chief Minister, U Myat Kyaw, and his wife, members of the region government and their spouses, officials and staff from the region government office, as well as retired civil servants from within the region.

Firstly, the retired civil servants who arrived at the ceremony were welcomed and served morning coffee and snacks. The Chief Minister and his wife, along with members of the region government and their spouses, warmly greeted the retired civil servants from various departments within the region, engaging in friendly conversations. Together with the responsible officials, they personally handed over nutritional supplements and eggs to over 1,300 retired civil servants.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials observed and supported the ongoing medical examinations and treatments being provided by the Monywa District Public Health Department within the hall. These services included screenings and treatments for diabetes, hypertension, muscle and joint pain, heart disease, and chronic cough and asthma among the retired civil servants. The responsible officials also collaborated to address any necessary needs related to the treatment activities.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and responsible officials inspected the sale of basic foodstuffs such as rice, cooking oil, and vegetables at reasonable prices to retired civil servants within the hall area by the Region Consumer Affairs Department, the Development Committee, and the Township General Administration Department.

The region government will conduct monthly health check-ups and distribution of basic foodstuffs to retired civil servants within the Region, it’s learnt.
