Providing Assistance: Chief Minister And Commander Provided Cash Assistance

The coordination meeting of COVID-19 Emergency Responding Committee of Shan State was held at the meeting room of the Triangle Command, Kengtung Township on January 5 and attended by Shan State Government Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun, Commander of Triangle Command Brigadier General Myo Min tun, state government ministers, state, district and township level departmental officials.   

At the meeting, Chief Minister gave an opening remark and the commander clarified the COVID-19 preventive measures and the state public health department head officer Dr. Myint Kyaw explained the work implementations of the committee. The chief minister fulfilled necessaries and gave a speech of conclusion.

Next, the chief minister, commander and state ministers attended the ceremony of providing cash assistance for the volunteer associations in Shan State (East) by the ministry of social welfare, relief and resettlement for 6 months from October, 2021 to March, 2022. In his remark, the chief minister said that the social welfare department has granted permission for establishment of a home for the aged, a home for persons with disabilities and a philanthropic home for the youth development and has been providing assistances. In addition, 11 self-reliance pre-schools and 27 children day care centers are also being given assistance.

Afterward, the chief minister handed over 11.02 million Kyats of cash assistance to Kengturn Home for the Aged and 1.32 million Kyats of cash assistance to MyittarYeikMyon Philanthropic home for the youth and the commander of Triangle command Brigadier General Myo Min Tun provided o.81 million Kyats of cash assistance to the Saint Mary home for the persons with disabilities.

Next, the chief minister, commander and state ministers inspected the laying extra layer of asphalt on KyingIn Road and construction of fence with concrete pillars for NaungTon Lake. Then, they paid homage to WasiPeik Thila-Dhamma KoneThar Tawya monastery Sayadaw, offered 5 million of cash donation by the chief minister and commander and discussed for the development of Buddha Park in Kengtung.
