Protesters in South Korea rally against enhancing military ties

Protesters gather across the road from the South Korea's defense ministry in a demonstration against the push for closer security ties between South Korea, the United States and Japan, as US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin met with his South Korean counterpart Shin Won-sik to discuss regional security issues in Seoul while Japanese Defense Minister Minoru Kihara joined the meeting online.

The three defense chiefs agreed on Sunday to activate a real-time data-sharing operation on North Korean missile launches next month.
