Producing more skillful technicians: Government Technical Institutes opened

Government Technical Institutes (Taungoo), (Dawei) and (Thalyin) under the Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (DTVET) of the Ministry of Science and Technology were opened.

The civil, electrical and industrial engineering workshops, practical rooms, classrooms, library and computer rooms are also facilitated in the GTIs.

The Government Technical Institutes are opened to produce more skillful youth technicians for the country’s construction sector. Likewise, the local students and the students from other regions and states can get more learning opportunities and can study the technical and vocational subjects.

By producing technicians and skillful workers, it can support the regional development and improving socio economy lives of the people, it’s learnt.
