Princess Visit: Japanese Delegation Pays Homage To Pagodas & Temples In Bagan

A delegation led by Japanese Princess Yoko Mikasa who is paying a visit to Myanmar observed Japanese war cemetery in Yayway, Mingaladon township, Yangon, Thursday morning. The Japanese Princess and party viewed around peace memorial including other memorial places in the cemetery.

The Japanese Princess and party then left Yangon for Bagan-Nyaung U. On arrival at Bagan-Nyaung U Airport, the Japanese Princess and party were welcomed by officials from Bagan-Nyaung U Township. In the evening, Princess Yoko Mikasa and party paid homage to Aloedaw Pyi and Shwezigon Pagodas.

At the Shwezigon Pagoda, the Japanese Princess offered water, lights and incense to the pagoda and signed the distinguished visitors’ books. The Japanese Princess and party then visited Nan Myint tower and enjoyed the sunset of Bagan.
