Press Conference: SAC Information Team to hold 21st Press Conference

The 21/2022 Press Conference of the Information Team of the State Administration Council took place at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw starting from 1 pm on 18th November.

The Leader of the Information Team Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, member of the Union Election Commission U Khin Maung Oo, spokespersons of relevant departments and representatives of departmental information teams replied to queries raised by the media.During the press conference, first, the Leader of the Information Team explained the matters on conferring the honourary titles and medals by the State Administration Council and the pardon orders released the prisoners by easing from their prison terms including the foreigner prisoners, the related matters to the relations with the ASEAN, the financial and trade issues, the educational issues and the matters of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area Union Territory and the maters on the terrorists and their terror acts.

Next, The UEC member U Khin Maung Oo clarified the inspections at the political parties by the Union Election Commission, checking the voter lists with the ground population to be correct, the attendance of the chairman of UEC U Thein Soe and members to the 5th General Assembly of the Association of World Election Bodies (A-WEB) and other related matters.

Then, the Leader of the Information Team, the UEC member and representatives of the departmental information team replied to queries raised by media personnel and the press conference came to a close.The press conference was also attended by SAC’s information team members, representatives of relevant ministries, officials from the Tatmadaw Information Team, guests, and reporters from local news agencies, daily newspapers, local TV stations, and local-based foreign news agencies.
