President Xi Jinping encourages Chinese athletes one month ahead of Beijing Winter Games

Chinese President Xi Jinping wished athletes successful and win honor for the country during a visit to a training base in Beijing on Tuesday.

The Ice and Snow Project Training Base, located in the southwestern corner of the Chinese capital, is a comprehensive compound for winter sports research and training. Tuesday marked the one-month countdown to the Beijing 2022 Winter Games, which takes place from 4th to 20th of February. China's state media reported that Xi also toured some Olympic venues on the day, including the National Speed Skating Center, the Main Media Center, as well as the Olympics Athletes Village.
