Presenting Uniforms and Cash: Kachin State CM presented sports uniforms and cash

The Kachin State Government held a ceremony in the indoor sports hall of the People's Sports Ground in Myitkyina on Tuesday to present sports uniforms and cash awards to the football teams that will compete in the 2026 Inter-Ethnic Nationalities Football Tournament to be held in Myitkyina.

At the ceremony, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan delivered an address. Together with state ministers, he presented competition uniforms and cash awards to the 16 participating football teams representing 16 ethnic nationalities, comprising six Kachin ethnic groups, five Shan ethnic groups, and the Bamar, Rakhine, Kayin, Chin, and Naga ethnic nationalities.

Afterward, the Chief Minister attended an event of presentation held in the meeting hall of the Myitkyina Township Development Affairs Committee’s Office on the plan to upgrade Yay Sin Kwin ရေစင်ကွင်း Market in line with the standards of a modern urban market. He delivered remarks at the ceremony before conducting an on-site inspection of the market. During the inspection, he observed trading activities, met with vendors and shoppers, and discussed the proposed market upgrading project, seeking the views and consent of the market vendors regarding the planned improvements, it’s reported.
