Preparedness Measures: Water supply in Yangon during Super El Niño conditions

A workshop on preparedness measures to ensure an adequate water supply for Yangon during the 2026–2027 Super El Niño conditions was held on October 15 at the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC) Office in Botataung Township.

U Aung Naing Thu, Chief Minister of the Yangon Region, attended the workshop. First, the Chief Minister delivered the opening remarks. Experts then gave presentations and discussed various aspects of the preparedness measures to ensure an adequate water supply for Yangon during the 2026–2027 Super El Niño conditions. Following the discussions, the Chief Minister toured the exhibition booths showcasing preparedness measures related to ensuring an adequate water supply for Yangon during the 2026–2027 Super El Niño conditions.
