






The Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine together with deputy minister U Aung Tun Khaing and Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Myint Soe visited Aye Metta San Youth Development Philanthropic home and Aye Metta San (TaungNiLay) monastery in Pubbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 20th March.
The Union Minister clarified the assistances providing by the ministry to the philanthropic homes and centers established by the philanthropic volunteer organizations and cooperation, acknowledging those homes and centers in line with the work guidelines, supervising to keep the standards and norms etc.
Next, the union minister urged to provide necessaries for the physical growth and acquiring skills and knowledge of the children at the age level, cordially greeted the children and inspected the class rooms and dormitories and coordinated requirements.
Afterward, the union minister visited emergency management center and inspected the monitoring and collecting the information regarding with the landfall of deep depression forming in the Bay of Bengal passing through Yangon Region, HaingGyiKyun and landfall at Ayeyawady Region and southern part of Rakhine State and the in-charge of the center U Win Htein Kyaw clarified the regarding with the deep depression including the status of intensifying into cyclonic storm according to the data released by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology and the findings from the international weather websites, condition of precipitation, stages of development of the deep depression.
Next, the union minister instructed to collect the weather information date, release storm information for the people living in the areas where the cyclonic storm can hit, prepare all necessary things in line with the plan to provide relief items.
Then, the deputy minister instructed to inform the latest development of the deep depression, preparation of relief items to provide the people living in the areas where the cyclonic storm can hit and the constant monitoring for the changing situation of the deep depression with the day/night duty assignment.
