Preparations Underway: Coordination meeting on organizing Independence Day

The 4th of January, 2023 is a day of significant which is the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.

It’s a day which is commemorated maintaining the independence for 75 years and also it’s aimed at protection and safeguarding the sovereignty of the country in the years to come. So, the necessary preparations are being made to honor and celebrate the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day in Nay Pyi Taw with grand scale in national level.

The coordination meeting regarding with the chorus dance groups to be accompanied with the parade of floats from regions and states at the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day honoring celebration was held at the assembly hall of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on December 2nd.

At the meeting, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn of the Ministry of Information Chairman of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day organizing committee said that the meeting is held to discuss regarding with the chorus dance groups to be accompanied with the parade of floats from regions and states.

Next, committee secretary deputy minister U Ye Tint discussed the requirements of the parade of floats from regions and states and the accompaniment of chorus dance groups. Then, the deputy minister Dr. Moe Zaw Tun clarified the entertainment program, alphabet demonstration and accommodation.

Next, the regions and states ministers and attendees discussed regarding the displays on the parade floats, number of people to be in the chorus dance group, ethnic traditional dances and selection of songs. Then, the chairman of organizing committee Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn gave a speech of conclusion.

After the ceremony of Diamond Jubilee Independence Day, as of 4:30 PM on January 4th to 8th, the parade floats represented the regions and states, exhibition booths and ethnic traditional food stalls will be displayed at Tabaung ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda, Nay Pyi Taw and the chorus dance groups from the regions and states will be performed with the ethnic traditional dances for five day, it’s learnt.
