Pope Leo prays for peace during mass in Pompeii

Pope Leo XIV urged renewed commitment to peace, noting that wars continue in many parts of the world and require economic, political, and spiritual action. Speaking from the sanctuary of St Bartolo Longo, the Pope said people cannot resign themselves to daily images of death shown in the news and offered prayers for peace.
