PM Narendra Modi invites Bangladesh PM to India

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit India at a mutually convenient time.

The invitation was conveyed in a letter which was handed over by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, when he called on Bangladeshi Prime Minister following the swearing-in ceremony in Dhaka on Tuesday.

In the letter, Modi termed the victory as a testimony to the trust and confidence reposed by the people of Bangladesh in his leadership and their mandate for his vision to take the country forward on the path of peace, stability and prosperity. Prime Minister Modi said he looked forward to working closely with Bangladesh’s new prime minister to strengthen multifaceted bilateral relations, enhance regional cooperation and advance shared goals.
