PM meets with Kazakhstan President

Việt Nam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Hanoi on August 21.The Việt Nam Prime minister affirmed that, while following its diplomatic policy on diversifying and multilateral external ties, Việt Nam always places importance on the relations with its traditional friends, including Kazakhstan.

He suggested Kazakhstan continue to facilitate Vietnam's strong products such as agricultural products, seafood, textiles and furniture to access the Kazakh market. Vietnam - Eurasian Economic Union free trade agreement to further facilitate bilateral trade and investment.

President Kassym-Jomart affirmed that Kazakhstan considers Vietnam an important partner in the Asia-Pacific region, and wishes to further promote the traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation, especially in economics, trade and investment.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believes that the signing of a bilateral visa exemption agreement for ordinary passport holders and a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in tourism during the visit of the President of Kazakhstan will open many opportunities to promote tourism cooperation and trade exchanges between the two countries.
