Phases of Election : Announcement on constituencies and wards/village-tracts

The Union Election Commission (UEC) announced areas where the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election, starting December 28, 2025, cannot be held due to conditions preventing free and fair elections.

Previously, the UEC had announced Phase 1 of the election in 102 townships by Announcement No. 56/2025 dated on August 20, 2025, Phase 2 in 100 townships by Announcement No. 141/2025 dated on October 28, 2025, 121 constituencies covering 56 townships where election cannot be held by  Announcement No. 103/2025 on September 14, 2025 and Phase 3 in 63 townships by Announcement No. 170/2025 on December 25, 2025.

On December 27, the UEC additionally announced 20 constituencies covering 9 townships where elections cannot be held, 62 wards and 1,002 village-tracts in Phase 3 townships where elections cannot take place, totaling 1,064 areas. These announcements will be published in daily newspapers and also posted on the UEC website: www.uec.gov.mm.
