






Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended and inaugurated the 26th Magway Region-level Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition held at the Magway City Hall on September 8.
The event began with the Chief Minister, the Commander of West Air Command Headquarters, the Commander of Magway Air Base Headquarters, the Chief Justice, and region ministers collectively cutting the ribbon to officially open the competition and a group photo was then taken.
Next, singer Wain Chit performed the song "Let Me Invite You to Magway," accompanied by a dance performance by students from basic education schools.
The Chief Minister then gave a speech, stating that the competition was being held to promote national pride, preserve cultural heritage and national identity, and foster the moral and ethical development of the entire nation. He emphasized that the event's objective was to instill a genuine patriotic spirit based on ethnic unity and to raise a new generation that will continue to preserve and carry forward Myanmar's national cultural identity.
The ceremony also featured a musical performance by a violin ensemble of students from Magway, followed by a duet dance performance by two basic education students. The competition then began, with the Chief Minister and officials in attendance to watch and support the participants.
