Pathana recitation: Rakhine State Government organizes the ceremony

Led by the Rakhine State Government, the Pathana recitation ceremony was opened at the Lawka Nandar Pagoda in Sittway on Tuesday.

Member of the State Administration Council Daw Aye Nu Sein, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of the Western Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, the State Ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers and departmental officials graced the ceremony.

First, the SAC member Daw Aye Nu Sein, the State Chief Minister and officials donated dawn meal or Hsoon to the Sayadaws and monks led by the State Ovadasariya Sittway Nandar Rama Pariyatti Monastery Sayadaw Buddhanta Nanda Thiri .

It was followed by the opening of Pathana recitation ceremony and the congregation led by the SAC member took the Five Precepts from Sayadaw Buddhanta Nanda Thiri.

Later, the State Ovadasariya Sayadaws discoursed Ovada Gahta on the Pathana Sutta. Members of the Sanghas, the SAC member and congregation led by the Sayadaws then recited Maha Pathana Sutta.
