Paritta Chanting: Shan State Government organizes Paritta recitation

New Year Paritta recitation and listening ceremony was held at the Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi on 17th April.

The congregation led by Shan State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun received the Nine Precepts from Sunlungu Vipassana Monastery Sayadaw in Taunggyi and listened to the sermons delivered by members of the sanghas.

Later, the State Chief Minister and party donated offertories to Sayadaw and monks.

Chairman of Shan State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaw of Taunggyi Thein Taung Pariyatti monastery delivered the sermons and the congregation then shared merits gained.

The State level departmental officials then donated offertories to members of the sanghas.
