


Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi on Sunday attended a ceremony in Pathein to honour the Ayeyawaddy Region which successfully implemented the Pan Khin Project issuing National Registration cards and household lists.
In his address at the ceremony, the Union Minister stressed the importance of holding National Registration cards and household lists and rights, expressed words of thanks to concerned departments for the successful implementation of Pan Khin Project in Ayeyawaddy Region and called for cooperation on e-ID system.
Also, Ayeyawaddy Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win explained plans and assistance for the successful implementation of the Pan Khin Project. This Ceremony continued with presenting certificates of honour and gifts to officials and staff for their efforts for Pan Khin Project.
Also, computers, copiers, printers and tables were provided for the Region/District/township immigration departments in Ayeywaddy Region. Discussions and explanations were also made on the e-ID system. In Ayeyawaddy Region, 231,299 national registration cards were issued under the Pan Khin Project.
The Union Minister also visited the Ayeyawaddy Region Immigration Office, observed the National Registration cards data making process and gave necessary instructions. In Pathein, he also met with concerned immigration officials and staff and stressed the Government’s 5-point road map, Pan Khin Project and e-ID system.
