Pan Khin Project: MOIP Union Minister met staff in Shan State (North)

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing met with the staff of Shan State Deputy Immigration Officer Office in Lashio on 16th November. Officials reported on completion works of Pan Khin Project in Shan State (North), data entry process for household list and coordination works for collecting population numbers at districts and townships.

The Union Minister said although implementation of Pan Khin Project completed its designated period on 3rd November, those remained for issuing the National Registration Cards will have to continue with the phase-2 of project which is also going to carry out in Wa Special Region. He added that the project has been implemented for the citizens to have the identity card for casting votes in the coming elections.

Moreover, collecting accurate voter list is an essential process for all eligible voters to cast vote, and this process is needed to carry out with the coordinated efforts of the Election Sub-Commission and General Administration Department.

The Union Minister urged all to serve the assigned duties with unity among the departments. The Union Minister then proceeded to Lashio District Office, and inspected the work undertakings.
