Palace of Peace and Reconciliation: Acting President toured Palace of Peace & Reconciliation

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in Astana, Kazakhstan, along with the accompanying high-level delegation members, visited and studied the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation and the National Museum in the afternoon on September 28.

Next, officials from the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation met the Acting President, SSPC Chairman and delegation members in the reception hall. They provided explanations regarding Kazakhstan's history, the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the fact that Kazakhstan is home to over 300 ethnic groups necessitating peaceful coexistence, the rationale behind building the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the annual hosting of the National Congress, the need to foster inter-ethnic friendship and understanding, the hosting of meetings for religious leaders in Kazakhstan, and the holding of peace and religious ceremonies within the Palace.

In response to the presentations, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, discussed that Myanmar is also a federal union where various ethnic nationalities live together, and explained the ongoing efforts to implement peace processes for peaceful coexistence.

He also asked questions and held discussions to learn more about Kazakhstan and the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. Afterwards, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman and delegation members toured the grand auditorium and the interior of the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, observing and studying them.

They asked further questions and held discussions based on the officials' explanations. After touring the National Reconciliation and Peace Palace, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman presented commemorative gifts, which were received by the responsible officials.

Later, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman and delegation members arrived at the National Museum, where they were welcomed and greeted by the Deputy Director General for Administration Mr. Sairan Temirgalievich, and officials from the museum.

The Acting President, SSPC Chairman and delegation members then toured the National Museum, observing and studying the historical background of the Kazakh people and nation, their progressive developments and transformations, traditions and customs, and developmental progress.

They asked further questions and held discussions based on the officials' explanations. Afterwards, the Acting President, SSPC Chairman, the Deputy Director General for Administration of the Museum, Mr. Sairan Temirgalievich, and Mr. Smagulov Nurasyl from the City Administration Department exchanged commemorative gifts.
