Opening of Charity Pharmacy: Mon State CM attended the ceremony

A ceremony to open the Kyaw Kyar Charity Medicine Donation pharmacy in Mayangone ward, on Upper Road, in Mawlamyaing, Mon State was held in the morning on Monday. The pharmacy's goal is to provide free medicine to impoverished patients admitted to the Mawlamyaing General People’s Hospital and the Women's and Children's Hospital.

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, and state ministers cut the ribbon to officially open the charity pharmacy. Next, the Chief Minister toured the pharmacy and personally handed out free medicine to patients who presented their prescriptions.

The opening ceremony continued at the Royal Mawlamyaing Hotel, where the Chief Minister gave a speech expressing his gratitude and appreciation. U Tin Hlaing, a donor from the T.W Kyaw Kyar Construction Company in Mawlamyaing, explained the purpose of the pharmacy's opening. The Medical Superintendent of the Mawlamyaing General People’s Hospital then expressed words of thanks. The Chief Minister coordinated and fulfilled requests as needed.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister, who is also the Chairman of the Mon State Regional Tourism Committee, attended the (6/2025) coordination meeting of the committee held at the Aung San Hall of the State Government Office, where he gave a speech and coordinated the necessary actions.
