People in Beijing were looking forward to the Winter Olympics on Thursday, a day before the opening ceremony, in spite of disappointment at not being able to attend the event in person. Organizers announced last month that there is no tickets sold to the public.
The Bird's Nest Stadium, and other indoor venues of the Chinese capital have been sealed off. The Winter Olympics are set to open Friday. All athletes and officials who are taking daily PCR tests and live separately from the public.
