Oil and Gas: Union Minister Inspects Pipeline Main Control Center

Union Minister for Electricity and Energy U Aung Than Oo on Saturday inspected ASEAN oil and gas pipeline main control center (Mandalay) near mile post no. 363/4 on Yangon-Mandalay Road. During the inspection, the Union Minister heard reports from concerned officials. And, he stressed that the pipeline benefits the people of Myanmar and China, and, called for maintenance in line with Standard Operation Procedure. He also urged the concerned officials to focus on socioeconomic status of the people along the pipeline, respect their tradition and custom, appoint more Myanmar staff at the center and raise awareness of the pipeline among the people near the pipeline. After his remarks, the Union Minister inspected the oil and gas pipeline main control center.
