Observing Trial Voting:Rakhine State CM observed trial voting on MEVM

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with members of the State Government and relevant department officials, inspected the special cleanliness drive for the beautification of Sittwe on Monday morning and attended an event where the public was demonstrated and given a practical voting demonstration on the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM).

First, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and officials inspected Block No. (4), Kyay Pin Gyi Ward, Kyaung Gyi Road in Sittwe, where they observed and inspected the collective cleaning efforts by the special cleaning team. The Director of the Development Committee, U Kyaw Moe, explained the plans to carry out the special cleanliness and beautification drive for Sittwe by dividing it into five blocks and implementing road-wise plans, as well as the efforts to provide employment opportunities for people from temporary displacement camps. The State Minister for Natural Resources supplemented the presentation.

In response to the presentations, the State Chief Minister instructed that the availability of labor force should be systematically managed for road-wise cleanliness and beautification, and that local residents should be encouraged to participate collaboratively. They inspected the ongoing cleaning activities and coordinated with responsible officials to address necessary requirements.

Subsequently, Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin attended an event organized by the Rakhine State Sub- Election Commission at the Khaing Thazin Hall in Sittwe, where the public was demonstrated and given a practical voting demonstration on the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM).

First, the State Election Officer, Dr. Kyaw Ko Lat, from the Rakhine State Sub Election Commission, explained the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM). Then, the State Chief Minister and officials observed the practical trial voting using the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) by residents from various wards in Sittwe and coordinated with responsible officials to address necessary requirements. The State Chief Minister and officials also warmly greeted and interacted with the public who came to participate in the practical trial voting.

Similarly, in Kyaukpyu and Man-Aung Townships of Rakhine State, the District and Township Sub Election Commission also conducted demonstrations and practical trial voting sessions on the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) on Monday morning at their respective township halls.
