Leading Democratic candidates to become New York City's next mayor held an in-person debate on Wednesday where they traded sharp attacks on the critical issues of crime and the city's economic recovery. The debate was held just weeks before the June 22 Democratic primary.

Polls suggest many voters still remain undecided. The field of candidates include Andrew Yang, the 2020 presidential candidate, and Eric Adams, the Brooklyn borough president.
