North Korea held a military parade on Wednesday night featuring over 14,000 troops but no procession of nuclear missiles or other weapons, according to state media.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un together with his young daughter attended the parade and delivered a speech on stressing the importance of absolute loyalty and obedience among troops.

In his closing remarks at the congress, Kim doubled down on expanding the nation’s nuclear arsenal. He called it the party’s “firm will” to strengthen national nuclear power and increase both the number of weapons and the means to deploy them.
