Nishimura: Japan needs younger leadership

Japan’s minister for economy, trade and industry stated that Japan's economy needs more innovation and younger leadership during a panel discussion in Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Forum.

The minister stated Japan’s economy has long been run by a bunch of old men and need to change to bring about innovation in the new era. He continued by adding that Japan wants to welcome foreigners and women into its workforce and to speed up innovation. The employment rate for women is more than 70%, according to government statistics.
