New Zealand and Thailand on Friday launched a new Strategic Partnership during talks in Auckland between New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Thai counterpart Anutin Charnvirakul.

The pact aims to triple two-way trade to 13.5 billion dollars by 2045, resume direct flights by March 2027, and enhance joint security efforts. Besides, the two leaders issued the joint plan of action 2026-2030, covering trade and innovation, people-to-people links and regional and multilateral cooperation.
