


Vietnam’s new visa policy took effect on Wednesday. It allows for extended stays for e-visa holders and temporary residences for regular entries. Citizens of 11 European countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, Belarus, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, are exempted from obtaining a visa for a 15-day stay in Vietnam.
These regular markets comprise a high proportion of the total number of international arrivals to Vietnam. Nguyen TrungKhanh, Director from Vietnam National Authority of Tourism said that in the first seven months of the year, international arrivals to Vietnam reached 6.6 million, 82% of the annual target. The countryis believed to be well on the path to exceeding this goal by year-end.
