New Fire Engines: New Facilities For Mon State Fire Services Department

With the aim to maintain and upkeep the appliances and equipment of firefighting andsearch and rescue in the state of readiness, Mon State Fire Services Department was provided with 7 fire engines, which have been purchased with the allotted budget for 2020-2021 fiscal year.

The department has bought 11 fire engines and has already received four fire engines as the first batch. Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun inspected the new fire engines on January 5th and gave instructions to distribute the new facilities to the needy township units and to use at full capacity.

The Chief Minister also observed the demonstration of fire brigade members. The new arrival facilities included one Foam Tank Fire Truck, two 3,200 gallons water tankers and four 1,600 gallons water tankers.
